About my Mom
This site is about my mom and her battle with Bladder Cancer....
May you rest in peace mom!!!
Unfortunately we lost mom on Feburary 19, 2009. The Chemo and Radiation only made the cancer spread even faster instead of helping. I love and miss you so much mom. Open your beautiful wings and take me home with you. :(::::
My mom began getting told in late 2007 that she had a severe Kidney Infection when it wasn't. With in a few months she began her battle with Bladder Cancer. She has since been taking Chemo treatments in Lexington Ky. at U.K. Medical Center. As of now she is stable but still the battle continues. She is much stronger then a lot of people I know. Her sister, my aunt Eartha battled the same type of cancer and passed away of April 2007 just month's before having to hear she had it as well. As her battle continues I will update here and let everyone know how she is doing. Two weeks ago she had tests ran on her. She had no iron in her blood caused by the Chemo so she had to have a blood transfusion. On Thursday November 13, 2008 she had a proceedure done to see if some visible tumors are new ones or if they are old ones passing. As I find out the results they will be posted.
Monday November 17, 2006
This morning mom headed out for a 6 week stay at Markey Cancer Center in Lexington Ky. for a six week stay for radiation and Chemo treatments. As I get more information from her on a daily basis I will post it here. Thank you for being concerned!
UPDATE:
I spoke to mom a bit ago. The first day of radiation went fine. She didn't burn so that is a good sign that she can continue the treatments. She is very tired but okay. She has to take it five days a week and chemo one day a week. please keep praying for her and that this helps. all prayers are appriciated greatly.

More about my mom's battles in life
Throughout my mom's life she has battled Breast cancer at the young age of 23. she had a mild Heart Attack at age 22 and Sadly on April 11, 2002, the day following her birthday mom had an aneurysm on the right side of her brain rupture. She was unaware it was even there. She was flew to U.K. Medical Center where they couldn't do the coil proceedure. She was then flew to Ohio where they once again was unable to do all the surgeries required to save her life. She was then transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Ohio where they Amazingly saved her life. She now has as much memory as she had before the rupture, if not more. The only side effects of the aneurysm is she has no tears in her right eye, nor can she see out of that eye. This goes to show how amazingly strong my little mother of 111 Pounds is.
